Daytrip! Getting it broke in finally???
Well I got up at 3:30 am and took a trip to Rialto, CA this morning to pick up my 5th wheel that has been being worked on since July 30. The winds were Terrible, and I had made up my mind that after seeing two big rigs on their sides on 210, and streetsigns blown over in Rialto, my cajones were just not big enough to tow that thing back homewith 60mph windsover the Grapevine, then found out the "other way" home was having winds up to 100mph. Well it turned out there was still work to do on the trailer anyway, so it worked out ok I guess, now they get to deliver to my house.
On the way back I decided to make a detour down to Orange County Diesel in Huntington Beach, which turned out to be a waste of time, their show room is not nearly as impressive as their website, however the guy I tolked to was fairly nice.
On the way home, got to play with a Chevy truck, we kinda played a bit back and forth, then he pulled up even rollin about 80, and gunned it. He got me by about half a truck before I realized he really wanted to play...Right Foot DOWN! Blew the doors off the guy and took the Ram to 108mph and it was still accelerating when I backed out. I was impressed, now am even more inclined to find the time to get that Edge installed!
The good news...going from almost sea level to over 4k feet of Tejon Pass (commonly called the grapevine) and back to sealevel on the other side, then over an hour of bumper to bumper stop and go, and back over the hill home again was over 520 miles many of which over 75mph and I still have fuel left...Maybe this thing is finally getting broke in a little (have almost 7k on the oddometer)???
Makes for a somewhat long day, but a day in the truck is better than a day at work...right? Unless it is an overtime day, of course!!!

Yeah I know, I actually got it out of the box and looked it over last night to try to figure out just how long it will take. I am now trying to decide if I am going to still utilize the dipricol gauges or just the use the attitude monitor. I am kinda **** about some things, and doing it "right" the first time is one of"those things".

Sounds like you had fun. When I was on vacation this summer I took a picture of my gague cluster, when the gas light lit on the dash I was rolling about 570 or so miles just before i pulled inot the gas station. god I wish Montana was as flat as Minnesota was. Those flat hiways made for some great mileage.
