Dually Q's with 5'er/gooseneck
Some time end of this year, i will be looking for a large 5er, since i will be full timing it while at work. So i am making some big payments on my 1/2 ton so i can get a diesel
Looking at 3500 duallys, 4x4, QC or Mega, dont much care, few questions
1) Anyone have any experience pulling with a shortbed, whit type of slider hitch would you reccomend if i went this route.?
2) Do they even make a QCSB Dually?
3) Will i be able to pull a large 5er with the megacab bed? Will turning be almost impossible?
Thnaks for the help guys

you can pull a gooseneck/5vr with a shortbed, however you must be carefull on the turns or you will end up missing you back window untill you can have one found for you. a slider hitch from reese will solve this for the most part, however there are those people who just flat cannot drive and even with a long bed find a way to make that rear glass go missing
the only short bed dually dodge makes is with the mega cab. but you can always have the frame lengthened for a long bed
yes, you can pull a large 5vr with the mega, however the one thing you need to watch out for is GCVWR(gross combined vehicle weight rateing)

Sweet, ive pulled goosenecks alot around the farm, but only a fifth wheel once, and it was with a SCLB, so the window wasn't as big of a deal.
What kind of slider do you have mayfair/bigriver? are they auto or are there pins to pull etc when backing up.
The Sig. Other and i looked at trailers, smallest one she figured she could deal with was like 12k empty. and now that she is 5 months along, i am assuming we are getting the bigger one. it was a 35 footer. I sure do love the look of megacab dually's

Bigriver currently owns both the truck and the trailer, however I'm merely letting him own the truck for a while until it depreciates to the point whereI can buy it from him. Either that, or he'll get so sick and tired of me pestering him for the keys that he'll cave in and just GIVE them to me. In his own words ... " I can't take it with me "
