black smoke need help

hi I have a 04 late pro date and it is really smoking bad like people are trying to change lanes when im on their left it happens any time i am even remotely on the gas i am going to check for boost leaks today but i am getting like a 13psi reading on my boost sensor at idle and up over 40 on wot are these normal numbers they sound a little high

thanks

the 13 reading at idle is normal if using a data logger, thats barametric pressure witch would be 14.7 psi at sea level witch for a normal psi gauge, would read 0 psi, what ever your reading at idle or engine off with a data logger, subtract that number from your total boost pressure, and you will have actual pressure.... so u have 40 psi total, minus your 13 at idle, means you have 27 psi actual boost pressure, witch is normal, so doubtfull you have a boost leak, but still worth checking in to

check codes, air and fuel filters, if nothing pops up, need to look into the fuel system pressure, witch could be the FCA, lift pump, rail pressure sensor, rail pressure relief valve, or the injectors

air/fuel are new no codes fuel sys pressure is running at what the computer wants (if you compare desired pressure to actual pressure) I am starting to think injectors

if desired and actual are correct, its more than likely an injector, but i have seen rail pressure sensors fail and give faulse readings too
