Anyone's better half have a minivan?

I know it may not be the cool thing to own a minivan, but when you think of practicality they are at the top of the list for running kids around town.

Anyway, I was retreiving the secret "Santa" presents out of the attic this evening so we could begin our holiday travels in the morning and had a little accident. I was descending the shelves, my hasty ladder, and slipped. Well the passenger side mirror on the minivan slowed my fall, but it also gave way.

I got it all taken off, (only had to cut the wires for the heater), and taped up the holes for the trip.

I would like to find a replacement at a junkyard maybe instead of paying a dealer to order the part. Does anyone know if any other years would have the same part number as the one currently broken, or where I might be able to figure it out?

Her mini is a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT.

Thanks for any insight.

I did put something up on the Caravan forum, but the guys here seem to know things about all sorts of cars.

I would call a few junk yards, although often they are not all that reasonably priced anyway.

definately hit up the junk yards... I'm sure you can get a replacement at about 1/2cost of a new one.
