Default Truck Years/Models

Ok, I'm looking for the window vent shades and I'm having trouble with this. Some sites have different years listed for different models.
I've got a 2001 2500 Quad Cab.
One site lists:
Dodge 1500 as 1994-2001
Dodge 2500 as 1994-2002

I thought the 2002 was the start of the next body style on all. Am I wrong? I hope someone can help me make sense of this so I can get what I am looking for.

THANKS!

To summarize what everyone else said: In 2002 the Ram 1500 was a 3rd Gen body style, but the 2500 and 3500 was still the 2nd Gen style. In 2003 ALL were 3rd Gen body style. either way you still want the 1994-200x for your truck (not a difference in BODY stuff between the 1500 and 2500-3500... except the obvious stuff). One thing when installing them: CLEAN it really good! Clean before using the supplied cleaning stuff, and prefit before cleaning not after.

Yeah, my brother bought an 02 1/2 ton, It has the 3rd gen look. But 02 3/4ton and up are all 2nd gen. The 3rd gen 3/4ton and up didn't start until 2003. Hence the reason that the years are different. Then we repossed my brothers truck. Now my wife and I are considering finish paying it off and then resell it. She needs a new rig and we'd have the money. It's getting a new engine put in (since he seized the old one). Not sure. Not too keen on the independant front and the 1/2 ton, but it'd be good for her though! Hmmm... Choices choices.

This whole thing kinda has me confused as well.

I was looking at tow mirrors at LMC, and they list them for I think it was 1998 - 2002, and then again for 2002 - 2006's. I know Jake has tow mirrors and has the same body style as mine, and yet I don't see them listed for my year.

Weird ....

First off Did jake modify some to fit his truck? I dont' remember what year his truck is. Second of all just buy some and modify em to fit your truck. I suggest the non heated ones unless you already have the heated mirror powersource to your current ones. Well I guess you don't have a choice because they're both heated. You could always just rig a switch and have an extra feature! Shouldn't be too hard to make em work though just get like the 02 model because it's a 2nd gen ram too and I can't imagine the mounts to be much different than yours. But be sure it's 02 in 3/4ton or 1ton. Because the 02 1/2 ton is a 3rd gen.
