Default Transfer case NP-241

I've got a 01 2500 cummins 4X4 with a NP-241 that is stuck. It will only shift between 2H and 4L. anybody else have this problem or know the fix?

This may come across as a stupid question but are you putting the transmission in neutral prior to trying to shift? You also checked your manual to make sure you are trying it right? Just making sure.

you should be able to shift into 4hi even when ur in drive its made that way witht he auto locking hubs also it might not shift because the link is bent or seized go under and look where the shifter conects and see if u see any bends or rust or something i had the problem with mine 96 dodge ram 1500 the link was bent it wasnt hard to fix just bend it back

I've followed procedure and checked the linkage. It is in 2hi now and will only go to 4lo it skips the neutral position in the middle. I guess it's internal.
