Default Cruise control not working

I need some help!! I have a 98 12 v dodge diesel and my cruise control went out a few weeks ago. I have done some research on what to look for.. I have check the vacuum line for the servo and it was good, I replace the switch where the brake pedal is. The cruise control light comes on but it won't set or anything. So what do I do ? Start replacing parts until I fix it or if someone has had the same problem that could to relate to this that would be helpful. Thanks kirk

Gas truck gets its signal from the LF wheel bearing sensor. Not sure if diesels are the same.
