Default 2013+ Owners, What DEF are you using???

Ain't many of us newer diesel owners here. Just figured to start a poll to liven things up a little...

What brand? Add in a post where you are buying it and also what you are paying, if you'd like.

So far, I've topped off at the pump at Pilot twice. $2.79 a gallon both times...

Typically the Valvoline from NAPA because it is readily available for me, but I think we all know that DEF is DEF.

Only disadvantage to buying from the store is it's like 8 bucks for a 2 gallon jug vs your $2.79 at the pump.

I also don't have a DEF pump near me...Mass...

Somewhat related to the subject but would like to know your thoughts on DEF consumption. I've only had my '14 3500 a couple of weeks and before making the first long trip (2300 miles) I filled the tank and now with about 2450 miles the DEF gauge hasn't moved off of full. Normal or is something else going on?
Thanks, Bob
BTW As a first time RAM owner,I have really enjoyed learning so much about my truck and how to care for it.

If I don't tow at all it can be anywhere from 3000 - 4000 miles before it budges off the full line depending on how much I'm on the highway. But once it starts dropping it drops pretty quick. The gauge isn't very accurate, you're about 2 gallons down when it moves off the full line...

Thanks Hammer, I was hoping that was what was going on. Was not towing anything on this trip so good reason for the gauge to still register full. Big learning curve ahead!

Thanks,

I have put around 9000 miles on my truck and have only used about 3-4 2.5 gallons Peak Def containers from Oreillys. I think its about 12$ for the 2.5 box.

My '14 3500 holds 6 gallons. Be careful not to spill, it can be bad news to your paint to say nothing if getting into the fuel tank.

Congratulations on your new truck.

I just ordered my truck. I have seen DEF price as high as $25.75 for 2.5 Gal Peak Blue DEF, to as low as $7.85 for Wal Mart generic brand. I am not sure as to which one i am going to use but AutoZone by my house one week has it for $14.99 today. O'Riely's has it listed for $14.99 You don't want to even look at Amazon $29.15 and that's not Amazon Prime. Wal Mart $19.37 So I guess it's buyer beware.
