#1. take the intake tubeing off from the filter houseing to the turbo, first you will need two flat head screwdrivers, one to wiggle under the snap ring holding the silencer ring in and the other to hold it back while your working it out. once you have the snap ring out the silencer ring will just fall out. Then in the hardened section of the intake you will see a X baffeling, dremmel off ONLY the raised ends and take a rubber mallot and knock it out then re-install everything, your turbo will now sound like a 737 taking off. or if you follow the route I took and installed a NAPA 2790 air filter in place of the stock air box you will then have a 777 under the hood
#2, yes that is a cat and depending on your area you can remove it. if in california you will need to leave it in, my area there are no inspections or anything on diesels.
#3, for the first 500 miles be easy, this is the time where the axels and tranny is seating itself. after that drive it like you stole it. after about 20K the engine will be pretty much worn in, but still not broken in. after 20K if you want to make the switch to synthetics that would be the time. but before 20K stick to dyno.
from the factory the axels, tranny, and transfer are filled with synthetics, and the engine has dyno juice in it.
now, if you want to make her loud, remove the intake baffeling and silencer ring, get a 5 inch turbo back exhaust that dumps into twin 6 inch stacks that come out of the bed. not only is it bad@55 looking, but it will be loud

ok all done pretty easy, but not a real improvement in volume? there is also a white plastic thing in the rubber tube right before the turbo looks like air deflector /is this why no real turbo noise ,or is it that im still babying it slow take offs no revs above 2000?
Either way thanks for the awsome advice look foreward to bending your ear about lots of stuff
