Default Transmission Swap

Hello, I have a 36rh in my van and was wanting to swap in a 46rh so I can have over drive to help save on gas. Would this be hard to do? Will this include installing a different wiring harness and changing my diff gears? Any input is greatly appreciated.

The problem you'll have is that the PCM doesn't contain the programming for OD operation. Most people use a 518 tranny for the swap to get OD. Here's a page telling you how to do it along with the parts you'll need.

Well I'm not 100%, but I think that article is for 1995 and earlier that already have the A-727 installed. I don't think the A-518 will bolt up where a 36RH was. I guess I'm stuck with the 3 speed which is depressing.
