Strip 91 B150 5.2L 318 of computer and vacuum system
I have had electrical/vacuum issues before and it is dead again due to an undiagnosed issue I am working on in another thread. For future ease in repairing I was wondering if I could strip all vacuum lines and the computer out and make it a bare-bone carburated system. With this it would be so much easier and cheaper to fix as well as easier to diagnose, but how involved is the change?
Fuel system considerations
- get a bracket to make sure throttle cable lines up
- electric or mechanical fuel pump
- Anything else
Ignition system considerations
- Spark control
Anything else that may make this a more expensive venture or not worth while? I don't want to think I just disconnect everything, pop on a carb, and I'm good to go.
