Oil gage

Oil gage
I have a 2001 1500 5.9 with 130k on it and because I had to replace a water pump last week I stated looking more at the gages and noticed the oil gage was changing reading as I drove the van. I could sware that it always stayed dead center/straight up and now it will go from a lower indication to a higher indication.
So do I need to look at replacing the oil pump or some other component? This forum has been great for me and I appreciate all the responses.

Consider yourself lucky your OP gauge is sensitive to rpm.
My OEM gauge is a joke. The other day I was climbing a hill and my oem gauge was reading at the lowest hatch mark. Looking over at my mechanical OP gauge revealed I had 62 PSI at 2100 rpm.
62 PSI is my oil pump bypass pressure when hot. It will never go over this when hot.
When cold it will never go above 68 psi, at any rpm.
