Trans. OD
I have a 97 dodge 1500b ram van. It will not go into overdrive. I have replaced both solenoids and still will not go into od. I have checked all fuses. Please if anyone has any suggestions it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Have you monitored the OD solenoid wire to see if it sends power down to the solenoid when driving.

How do I check the voltage? Thanks

How many miles you got on that tranny?
My'94 B250 gave up at 115K and my '01 2500 gave up at 160K... replaced both with rebuilts and the '01 still going strong at 185K while I wrecked the '94 at 235K and it was going strong |
111k. It seem like kinda low for a trans to. My ford f150 trans. Went out at 255k.

Which connector do I tap into? The shift solenoid 9 pin connector? I'm guessing the speed sensor.

Speed sensor only gives me 7dcv. Bad PCM?

So I have replaced the trans with a rebuilt trans that my father in law had in his old van. The trans was working perfectly in his van. I have it in my van now and it still will not shift into od and is locking it out. I checked the speed sensor while driving and the PCM only sends out 7 DCV. Is it possible to swap PCM's or does it have to be programmed by a dealer?
Thanks |
