Extra Nipple on new Brake Booster?
 

So just got done replacing the PBB on my 1987 B250, and was wondering what the extra (third) nipple is for on the valve. I was just gonna cap it, but want to be sure I have the right thing.

I've never seen a PBB with three nipples before:icon_shrug:


Also, does anyone know what this rubber seal/grommet is that came with the new master cylinder? I can't find any use for it.

I am sure it will work. I have seen this situations a lot today since manufacturing is mostly in China. Some accessories, parts and buildable items are now being used for multiple part solutions. For example, the last brake pads I ordered had F150 clips in them. Yes the 2000 F150 and 2000 Van pads are almost identical. So, a plant in China probably does both and put the clips in my box.


This stuff will happen more and more now.

Just cap the unused port off or use your old one if you can remove it intact.
