Default What do you use?

I am trying to find a good microfiche for my 94 250b v6. I'm looking for a ecm part number but all that comes up is the v8. Hoping to find a site that has a useful parts look up. Thanks.

No it shouldn't matter as long as the engine and transmissions are the same.

So let me ask you this: my friend seems to think that a 94 250b v8 ecm will work. If you don't mind could you please lay out what the difference is in the ecms. (Along side the 150b 250b)

My thoughts are the v8 ecm will be trying to fire 8 cylinders when there are in fact only 6.

Thanks again.

I believe others have done it and it works because the ECM fires the coil based on the pulses from both the pickup coil and the crank sensor. You don't really have anything to lose by trying it.

Update: So I tried the ecm (from junk yard) off the V8. Still have no spark. I replaced the distributor (got it from the junk yard off a 250b v6. Looks brand new!) and still no spark. Hmm... Am I missing some other unit that controls spark?

Just the crankshaft position sensor. The CKS is what triggers spark, the pickup coil (or cam sensor) in the distributor triggers fuel injector timing.
