Probably an odd question but does anyone know for sure it the pcm is the same for a 5.2 with a 3 speed vs a 4 speed? I cannot find anything that will give me hard evidence. Or, is it possible to check for a signal from the pcm?what I am trying to do is to get my transmission to run off the pcm. She used to sport a 3 speed but converted her to 4 speed with the switched from PATC but I have not been completely satisfied with their kit and I want to put it on the pcm. It looks like a pretty straight forward install to connect to PCM but before I get knee deep in wiring, I wanted to know if I should pick up a used pcm that is made for a 4 speed. Of course, it only makes sense for there to be a different pcm but i have been researching but couldn't find any info, not that it is not out there.
