AC ISSUES 96 B2500 van

so, I turn my AC on and it blows from the top for a few minutes and then on the bottom. Usually stays blowing towards the floor if I have set on max.
if I set it on vent or push/pull, it will usually start blowing through the vents after about 5 minutes.
Anyone have any idea why this is? It just started happening a couple weeks ago.

Probably a vacuum leak.

Ditto on the vacuum leak. It's a leak and not a clean break because if it was a clean break the air would come out the defrost only, no matter how much time passed. There's a vacuum hose that runs from the intake manifold over to the vacuum reservoir located behind and below the passenger headlight. Then a second hose off the reservoir runs through the firewall. This is the vacuum line that ends up supplying the HVAC controls.
