Tires 2001 Ram 3500

Good morning, y'all. I've got a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 and, as you know, it's got one stiff suspension. I'm ready to put on a good set of tires. Any recommendations for a smoother ride? The van is used for road trips mostly and around the town driving just to keep the parts moving. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, my 99 3500 cargo van has always been a fairly stiff ride too, but not unbearable... I actually like it, keeps me awake on the long runs.
I personally can't recommend a particular ride quality tire but can tell you I changed over from the stock lt245 75/r16 to a les schwab lt265 all terrain and been happy with it. Tires have held up good and still look like many more miles left at 30k plus miles on them. I've kept the pressure at 50 psi all around.
With your 3500 van you're limited to 10 ply load rated "E" , atleast that's how it is in California so stiffer sidewall on the tire plus stiffer hd suspension/shocks etc. adds up to a little stiffer ride.

I've driven for our church and a local bus company here also... their ford and chevy vans in the same 2500/3500 vans do tend to have a softer ride, but I happen to like mine just a bit better.
Hopefully someone else may comment with some better educated advice for what you are looking for
