Water in Oil
Hello forum members,
I bought a DODGE RAM VAN V6 3.9 liter from 2001 with the VIN number: 2B7HB11X01K530094.
After overhauling the 32RH transmission, water has now been detected in the engine-oil. Which of course is very annoying, but I am now looking for the way that I make my sweetheart again.
So far, I still do not know where the water is coming in, but at the weekend I start to remove the intake bridge to see if you can see something there. If not then yes, then only remove the cylinder heads as a source of error.
If there is no mistake, I am forced to completely overhaul the engine. In this step, I would like to get more performance out of the V6, but I lack the right companies and ideas for this, which would be feasible. Who drives a tuning engine here that also fits my gearbox.
Who can give me internet addresses / tips and tricks to the engine please.

The vans also came with 5.2, or 5.9 liter engines, and you could likely substitute either one for the v-6. Would be best to find a complete donor vehicle that you can take ALL the parts you need from. (engine, maybe trans, wiring, computer)
Easiest would be another 3.9, 92 or newer. It would bolt right in, just use your manifolds, and intake/sensors.
Not a lot of performance parts out there for the 3.9 any more..... you *might* be able to find shorty headers, and perhaps a cam, but, cam would likely require a custom tune to make it run right. (unless you get one that specifically mentions you DON'T need to.....) Being in Germany pretty much guarantees parts are going to be expensive.

By water I assume you meant coolant. If that's the case the only point where the 2 meet is in the radiator. If the tranny cooler in the radiator has sprung a leak, then every time the coolant system pressurizes it forces coolant into the tranny cooler.
