Default Blower motor resistor, hot plug & wires.

Title says it all. Just got done with changing my ac evaporator, Heater core, acc/dryer. Well upon re installing everything, I noticed the plastic end that plugs into my blower motor resistor has 1 terminal that's somewhat melted and discolored. What would be the best course of action to take here? I also ran the fan on high and noticed while running that terminal and wire gets hot still. Should I consider connections being cleaned? New resistor? Replace the wiring and clip? Thanks in advance for tips and help!

Start with cleaning all the connections, and making sure the ground is good as well. (not sure where the ground actually is for a it all though.....) Might pull the resistor, and see what things look like. If its burnt, yeah, replace it.
