first of all.

ive had my truck for three weeks (this really sucks.)

this is the estimate that i was given- does it sound about right? a lot of people i've talked to says its high, but the mechanic said it was because the 4.7 is a pain the ass.

10.2 hours of labor
new gaskets and bolts
sending the heads off to the machine shop
$125 misc- meaning oil, antifreeze, etc

= $1,405.00

and if the heads are cracked....
then they are 1500.00-1700.00 a piece.
