Will a 1991 318 short block be the same as 1995??
I have a 1995 dodge ram with a blown 318. Will a 1991 318 short block with tbi work on my truck??? Can I just take the fuel injection system off my truck and put it on instead of the tbi??? I'm hoping everything is a direct bolt on. Please help!!

i beieve the 91 318's are an "LA" motor, and the 95's obviously are the magnums. i dont believe you can swap them right out. maybe with some minor fabrication.
dont quote me on this though

The 91 will have different heads and cam. The magnum blocks were redesigned with more meat in the gallery for spider plate mounts (for the roller lifters). The LA will have old style hydraulic lifters. What I would do is find a 360 (5.9) mag and drop that in. All you should (and I emphasize should) have to change is torque converter and computer. I know back in the day (I did a 318 to 360 swap in an old 72 Charger) the 318's were internally balanced like their 340 cousins, but the 360 was externally balanced, so I had to buy another torque converter with the proper balancing weights welded on to make it work right.
