Hemi beating "Hurricane" in the F-150
Sad news...
Just read in my latest Car and Driver that Ford[:'(] will be coming out with a new 6.2L V8 for the F-150 that, according to them, "will blow Dodges Hemi, and Nissans Endurance V8 into the weeds". The power will be much more. Said to be about a year away from production. Hopefully Dodge will up the HP on the Hemi. What do you guys think this?

SRT-10....
thats what i think...
and didnt C&N say that the ford was the heaviest in their big truck shootout? so even if it had more hp, its still fighting with the extra weight...

scratch that, this is the one they're gonna call the "Big Block", ok, thought we were talking about the GEN 2 Lightning. the 6.1 Hemi could be out around the same time, who knows.

They must have been thinking ahead using big bolts. I bet they planned on putting a motor in it that would have SO much power and torque that without the big bolts they would have problems with the beds' getting ripped off on the start line!!! LMAO HA!!!

I think it's funny to watch them play "catch-up" all the time
Just like the whole hype about the F-150 with a 6 cylinder diesel Ford has been struggling with for over a year now. Once they've spent a ton to develop and produce it, Dodge can start bolting the existing (and proven) Cummins 6 into the 1500. It should bolt right in with minor changes and little development cost to be passed along to the customer. I'm just speculating, but I think it's another potential ace up Daimler's sleeve.
