well,regardless...i know AEM and probably InJen offer dyno results...but you never know how biased the dyno tests that they are publishing may be.

Biased enough that they probably won't give you a money back gaurantee if you don't show any gains. But if it's just going on for looks then that's another story.

well..if i would have paid 300+ for one from the above mentioned companies...i would expect alot more than i would with the cheap one i bought. most people who use InJen or AEM use the defense of "they powder coat it to the color of your car". but say i pay 50 for the one i have, and sent it out for powder coating myself...would the cost be more then what i saved on the cheap intake??

MAybe I'm just messed up. I just can't see putting money into something that doesn't give me power or gas mileage. Looks just aren't enough reason for ME to spend that money, but I realize for some that it's everything.

Yeah. If you looked at it simply from a chemisrty stoichiometric standpoint. But does the it fill the cylinders better? I don't know, but would love for some of these companies to back the products better.

i just got my k&n cai today, i'll be installing it tomorrow. yeah i actually shelled out almost three hundred dollars for a pipe and filter, but what the hey, i like the concept. i'll find out if it makes any noticable gains, (not just being louder).

I've been watching all the inputs on CAI's very carefully for the past two months. At one point I was ready to buy one for my SRT-4. However, most people only report slight gains in power and maybe 1.5 to 2 mpg gained.....the biggest benefit of the CAI seems to be the noise that can be heard....$200 for a noisemaker? Naw, it'll be earning interest on a Stage 2.....

P.S. Glad to see you and BadStratRT getting along!!!!!!!!!!![sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley36.gif]
