I dyno'd my truck (04 HEMI)
Well for those of you who were waiting I finally made my way to the local tuner shop and had my truck dyno'd.
Here are the results:
255whp
297wtq
Mods: Absolutely bone stock.
I mentioned in my previous posts that I was gonna purchase one of those cheapo intake kits from ebay and see what kind of reults I would get. Well after a bit of squeezing and removing the stock intake and support we were able to finish the swap. Another pass on the dyno yielded 5whp! Unfortunately the gains were only in the low rpm range and as soon as the truck really got warm those gains were no longer noticeable. As soon as I figure out how to scan the dyno I will post it up for everyone to see.
2004 quadcab HEMI 1500 SLT
3.92's, LSD, 20inch rims
Ambient temp: 100
Humidity: 55%
Final peak HP: 263whp
Final Peak TQ: 299wtq
I'm pretty sure I'm missing some other stuff so feel free to ask any questions.

I don't know a lot about this subject but is it bad that the truck loses almost 100 horsepower at the tires? I heard someone say that the Lightning almost puts down the same numbers at the wheels as it does at the crank.

No it's not bad. Simply put it takes power to run the transmission and overcome other frictional and momentum type loses in the drivetrain. A general rule of thumb is a lose of 20-25 % at the wheels. If a Lightning is putting down the same # at the wheels that it's supposed to at the crank, you are looking at a truck with some fairly substantial mods.

isnt it almost physically impossible for a vehicle to have the same WHP and BHP? i dont think there is a way to eliminate driveshaft loss,so on? and with a RWD vehicle, isnt it usually a 20-25% loss from BHP to WHP?

Yeah, it's impossible, at least as far as I know. What I meant to say was that if the lightning is putting 360rwhp down then it's been modded and not putting out 360 hp at the crank.
