if it have a lot of scratches the best way is to sand it all down, and paint the whole car, but you can go to any auto color store and they can mix some paint for you. then you just get sandpaper, sand the spots, then sand the clear coat from the rest of the panel that been worked on, spray color and then respray clear coat. That's the technique i used to paint when i fixed a dodge truck that used to have a huge dent in the rear quaterpanel after i fixed the dent(i know it's not the scratch, but it's closest to scratch that i ever had to deal with)
little color pens that they sell at auto zone don't work very well (i seen few people trying to use them)

well, you can try and it might come out ok, it probably would be ok for small scrach, but it would look wierd if you touch up 20 scratches in one area. i had access to free spray guns and paint booth, so i was able to do everything cheap, i just had to buy the paint and clear coat. i guess it's better to have a line the same coloras the rest of the car visible, than white or what ever the scratch looks like. with touch up paint it generally looksgood from 5 feet

You also can go to any dealer or auto parts store and they might have a book with the color to match. it will come in like a nail polish thing. just wash your car really goo and put it on carfully. try to only put on enough to fill in the scratches. then the best thing to do is wheel out your car with a cutting cream or rubbing compound. if you don't know how to do that then find out or have someone in your town do it. it might cost you about a hundrend dollars.

I also have the Emerald Green on a 1995 Ram
and at least on that Chrysler model
the underlying primer was defective.
