You either have a bad strut, broken wire to strut or bad capacitors on the ECS module (very likely). Unhook the ECS module because one that is malfunctioning will eventually cause issues with your ECU (and possibly fry it).
It is located in the hatch on the passenger side. Life the carpet, you'll see a access door sort of near the light. Remove the trunk tub to remove the access door. The module is kind of goldish in color and is behind that door. With some dexterity, you can reach in there and unhook the harness.
Thanks, I found it. Picking up one from a wrecked car this afternoon. Have no idea if it works or not but figured $15 was worth a try. I checked the wires on the shocks and it appears one side has been replaced before and the other looks good. Unpluged it for now.
