TheStealth-Where is the ECS fuse?

I have that big plastic tub out of the hatch area but I don't see where you pull the connecter for the ECS. The piece that I have out let's you see the power antenna and all it's wires and connections. Where should I go from here? Thanks!

RE: TheStealth-Where is the ECS fuse?

The ECS is on the opposite side of the antenna on the passenger side. To unhook the harness you may have to A. Remove the plastic trim altogether or B. unscrew the three screws that hold the unit in place. There is a little removable cover that will let you access (almost) the unit. You will have to remove the "tub" on the passenger side of the spare to remove the cover.

Edit: It is fuse 10 under the dash, but that fuse powers other items, such as interior lighting, ECM and cruise control.

RE: TheStealth-Where is the ECS fuse?

I took off a small panel that was held in place by 2 screws. There was square like box with this huge wire connector attached. It had many, many wires attached to it. I unplugged it. I'll assume this is the ECS unit. I will also assume that I leave it disconnected. In what way could this cause a miss in the engine? I won't be able to test drive it for a couple of days because I have the wheels off and i'm painting the wheel wells. I want to replace all the struts and the KYB's are $80 for one. I know that I saw the ones where you still can use the adjustable suspension for about the same price. If so I would want those. The dealer want's $1800 for the set. Do you know by chance who makes them? Thanks!

For dealer only items, use Rockville Mitsubishi (1-800-962-9974) or Tallahassee Mitsubishi (888-825-5648). They are much cheaper than any local dealer around my area. I do not know who made the OEM struts.
