Driver Side Lock is broken

My Lock has been pushed inside the door and I have to use the passenger door to open my car. Does any body have any experience with locks on doors and how to fix them???[X(]

To be honest every car is different but what you can do is take apart your door panel from the inside and see what is happening there. What kind of car do you have? Is the problem electical or mechanical?
