Fan not working
OK the cooling fan never kicks on except when I turn the A/C on... the fuse looks good(don't know if it runs thru the same circuit as A/C) any quick ways to check the sensor and which one is it? I remember having a 87 Sundance and if you disconnected the sensor the fan would come on.... does the Stratus do that? thanks Rick

Read Page 2, under General Description

That link could help you diagnose why its not coming on too,
Go ahead and bookmark this page - http://tearstone.com/shop/2000-2002-...ce-Manual.html
Its the factory service manual for the Eclipse, so the exterior stuff won't work, but everything else is the same

Man no one around here has the thermostat gasket... so didn't change it... didn't want to use RTV.... but I bought an Actron 9180 scanner... (and when I opened that the cd wasn't there) man my luck.... but just sitting there in front of my house the temp got up to 205 before I shut it down... with the A/C running it appears that the fans kick on and try to mantain 195 degrees.... gonna chance it and drive to WV with it... while driving though it appears to be fine.... its just the stopping... hope there is no traffic .. . I'll monitor the temp with the scanner so I can tell the dealer exactly what is going on...

But what I don't get is why the temp sensor kicks the fan on at such a high temp.... I'm still thinking its the thermostat like you had suggested... Tomorrow before I leave I am going to have the wifey hold it at 3000 rpm and I am going to see what the flow thru the radiator looks like... thinking that the water pump might be acting up... at idle I could see it moving but it wasn't a lot
