'97 ES Enging Oil Pan: Steel vs. Aluminum

Okay, I've had some problems with my oil pan lately. My car could be set too low but maybe not.

Anyway, I ordered a replacement one in the past but it was steel. I was told I needed aluminum so I sent it back for the refund but my dad said steel was still good...so I'm confused now.

Which oil pan do I need? Steel or aluminum?

If the car came with a steel pan, I would use a steel pan. I'm guessing you have the 2.5L engine.

It's actually a 2.4L engine.

Does the 2.4L come with an aluminum pan? If it does, I would stay with what on the engine.

Yeah mine did come with an aluminum pan. I was a bit unsure about that. Good thing I found a cheap priced one!
