Default Water pump/ Timing belt

My water pump went out in my car, I can't afford to take it to shop. 00 Dodge Stratus 2.4 DOCH. Pump runs off the belt.

Is there an easy way to remove the belt myself without messing up the timing and then install new pump?

unfortunately no, and always replace the Timing Belt, Water Pump, and MAYBE the tensioner at the same time. And this will be a 3-5 hour job.
If you want to tackle this yourself, there are youtube videos or pictured guides all over the internet for this engine. Google them.

I had a local shop do this job (Belt/Pump) for $400.. I had to work him down to that price. Dealer wanted almost $1000.

Good luck
