1998 Stratus won't start! Help!
 

I know nothing about cars, so I need some serious help. I have a 98 Stratus and about a week ago my car started fine. Last Thur I went out in the morning to go somewhere and the car wouldn't start. I have all the lights on and it turns over but it doesnt start. What can it be? I checked the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump fuse but that didn't work. I need the car to get my kids to daycare and me to school. I am a single mom so this vehicle is kinda important for our day to day stuff. HELP! I can't stand taking the bus anymore.
My friend told me to listen for the sound the fuel pump makes but I have no idea what he is talking about:icon_screwy:

When it's quiet, turn the key to on (but not all the way to start it). You should hear a faint humming coming from under the rear seats. If you don't hear that, than you've lost your pump. It may help to have someone turn the key while you're in the back listening, depending how quiet of an area you're in.

Have you had the battery tested? It may have enough juice to turn the lights on, but not enough to crank the engine over and feed it gas.
