Default Backup Lights

Could anyone help figure out what might be wrong with the backup lights on a 1998 Stratus. I have change the lights, and checked and change the fuse, yet still I have no backup lights.

when you put it in reverse, do you have power at the sockets?

Bulbs are good. Don't seem to be getting any power to lights. Wiring checked all the way to transmission and yet still no lights.

With the parking brake on,wheels chocked turn the ignintion on (not running) put the gear selector in reverse and use a test light to see if you have power at the reverse light socket. If no power is there then we know that it is forward of that. I would guess it would be a chance of it being the reverse switch. while in reverse I would check the wires coming out of the switch and see if you have power out both sides. The reverse switch controls wether the lights come on or not, if you have power at the switch then the problem is between there and the switch.
