P0340 on Dodge Stratus RT (Camshaft position sensor)
 

Service engine soon light came on, code read P0340 for Camshaft position sensor failure. Looking for a new camshaft position sensor, but can only find them for the 2.4 and 2.7L engines, not the 3L 24 valve G672 Mitsubishi that I have. Called the Dodge dealership and they don't sell the part anymore, kinda wondering if it even exists for my engine at this point. Any help would be appreciated!

PS: found one on autopartswarehouse.com that was guaranteed to fit a 2001 RT, but don't know if I trust it. Any experience with this?

Edit: It looks like the Camshaft position sensor may be internal/non-existent in this engine. Is it still possible to replace just the sensor, or do I have to replace a bigger part? Is the problem more likely something else?
