New Viper Revealed

RE: New Viper Revealed
OK, here was my prediction, can be found in the rumor post
"There will be some small body changes, hood design could be one of them. Slightly different headlights, badging and a new set of wheels will be offered. The big changes will be in the chassis and suspension (over all lighter that GEN III chassis and suspension)."
Nailed the hood, wheelsand emblems, missed in the lights and suspension
"The other big change the GEN IV will bring is the engine of course.
-It will be a V10 ( I love it when I get somthing right)
-It very well may slip back a few cubic inches (less than 505)
-The heads will be completly redesigned, along with intake and new cam/lifter specs
-Results will be 600HP max. Rumors of a 150HP jump are just people with wishful thinking.
-You may see a slightly larger gear ratio, but I doubt anything higher than 3.54, probably something in the 3.23 range. So many people harp on the gears in the Viper. The people who do are ususally ones who have never driven a Viper. If you slap a 4.10 in there getting the car to hookup and keep going straight is a NIGHTMARE. 0-60 times would suffer due to not being able to apply the power w/o wheel spin and the extra shift required. 1/4 mile times would be about the same. The 3.05 gear car will begin to pull hard on the 4.10 at the end of the track. Lets also remember, the Viper is built not just for the 1/4 but tracks as well. Bigger gears is more shifting in and out of corners which takes time and slows the lap times. "
Nailed the HP rating and valvetrain.
Missed on CID and gear ratio.
Also missed tranny upgrades.

-The heads will be completly redesigned, along with intake and new cam/lifter specs (It now has VVT. Variable Valve Timing. They used to have OHC because they wanted teh Viper raw, but they changed that.)

I would bet you $100 a stock 08 Viper will not touch 10s.
ORIGINAL: Jviper
As far as performance I'm guessing this viper will do 0-60 in under 3.5 sec and a 1/4 mile in 10's. Plus have a top speed >200mph. Dosent have to be an experienced driver either.[8D]
