Question Found a spacer on front end!

Hey.... put this on the regular threads (hope there's np probs putting it here as well) but figured since you guys are V-10 owners as well maybe someone can help me out with this???

Was changing the front rotors and brakes on my '99 V-10 4x4 and in the process of taking the old ones off I found a 3mm (I believe it was 3mm)spacer. If memory serves me correctly it was on the drivers side. But it was only on the one side, not both. Not dust covers or anything like that... and it is just shaped like a thin disc with the 8 bolt holes. There weren't any over sized tires on it or anything prior to me getting it.
Anyway, just curious if this is a factory thing or just common to only V-10's or ??. Have worked on vehicles quite a bit just haven't run into this scenario before. Do these require the spacer or ??. Thanks in advance.

It is on the passenger side. Yes it is a factory thing on the DANA 60 front axle, which I think they only used on the V10 and Cummins.

What are the best ways to get better than 10 mpg????
Take your foot out of the gas!

No seriously, it could be a bad O2 sensor. I replaced mine with Desno from www.rockauto.com and it was cheap, just make sure you get the OEM ones and not Universal. I would only buy Desno or NTK O2 sensors, stay well away from the cheap South American Bosch crap! I went from around 8-10 to like 9-13.

Another V10 for the club here. Been running a V10 for two years. Feel bad that I never saw the club before
