I am replacing some parts due to an odd issue with my truck. It has been idle through the Winter but I would start it to keep it charged. Recently, when I put the truck into gear, either reverse or forward, the engine stops abruptly and the truck does not move. It will start right back up but it will stall every time. I am unable to move the truck, although I can put it in neutral and push it without any problem. Fluid looks good. I am running out of ideas for a repair. Have you ever heard of this issue before? I am going to replace the trans sensors to see if this resolves the issue. Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

I just replaced all my ac components except the evaporator and the low side line from the dryer to the condenser because I couldn't find a new one. The line set that comes off of the top of the compressor had a high side service port, the new line set looks identical except it now has a low side service port. So I now have 2 low side ports and no high side ports.

I assume this is just something that changed over the years, so where is the high side port on later Dakota?

Functionally I can live without the high side port assuming it is all working right but debugging will be hard without it.

Needing to replace the fan shroud on my 1999 Dodge Dakota Sport V6 3.9L - and all the parts manufactures I've looked at say this part is discontinued. What options do you have to replace the shroud? I've looked at junk yards, Dorman, Crown, LMT Truck, etc and cant find a damn thing. Has anyone ran into this problem and what was the solution? Are their Jeep parts that match up with this same engine, dimension, etc? If so, does anyone have the part number?

Thanks,
from a friend. It hasn't run in many years and the keys were lost. I purchased a new ignition and keys but I'm having trouble removing the ignition from the housing. The few things I've come across instruction wise have said you need to turn the key in the ignition in order to remove but since there is no key, I can't do that. So can someone help me figure out if there's a way to remove it without turning the key or should I purchase a new ignition switch also? I've attached pictures but if I need to add some additional ones, let me know. Thanks in advance. I hope someone out there can help.
