So, here I am with my rusted out 1979 Dodge 150 pickup. I don't see much action here but maybe someone will reply. The truck; Had it since around '85 or '86. It was a "piece" then and isn't any better now. The good points: Has the greatest '74 Duster 360 HP engine which is now in the fourth vehicle without a rebuild. Started in that Duster but came out on a Warranty replacement almost right away. I stuck a 273 solid lifter cam in it with Dodge Premium 318 heads and away I went first in a '67 Coronet, then in my long time 1963 Plymouth Belvedere Wagon. Lastly the engine got put in my '79 D-150. Had to change heads to 'Smog head' to accommodate the air pump and the California emission law. Who knows how many miles are on this thing now, but it still runs well and uses little oil.
Anyone want to comment? Well, it's Feb 2015 now and the truck is decommissioned. 360 is out and waiting for something else to be installed in.
