Bought a 98 dakota 6cyl 2wd new, only 205k, so far have only had to replace brakes, tires, exhaust, etc. yesterday (4/6/18 ) the power steering stopped working, resevoir is full- no leaks, think if I suck fluid out of the resevoir & refill a couple of times this will make it work again?
Also do I need a special fluid?

I was hoping that maybe you could help me find what it is I am looking for . . or even if it exists in an easy fashion to find. Thank you

Hi, I just joined today and I have spent oh, like 5 hours looking through the 2nd gen threads . . I just bought a 03 Dakota . . and I can not find anything even close to what I am seeking. After going through the first 20 or 30 threads I'm beginning to worry that I might have bought the wrong vehicle, almost. I am interested in things to fix my truck up than to fix my truck if you understand what I mean.

An example of the type of information I am looking for would be a thread where someone is wrapping their steering with leather hand sewing it on. Making a better center console or upgrading their vehicle to heated power mirrors. Heated seats. If there are any steering wheels with cruise control AND audio control buttons that'll fit my truck.

Forgive me. I know I am new here but at 58 years old I don't have 16 years to blindly keep searching threads.

I let a friend fix my horn and it has been doing this since then. Oh I also checked fuses. Plz help now and lights stay on blinkers don't work on passenger side and engine light. Lights will come on with my foot on the break only

Hey Dan, I have a 2001 Dakota 2WD 3.9L Quad Cab and I need to replace the inner tie rod. I ordered a Moog part; but, it didn't come with the boot. Do you have a suggestion where to get one or will I need to go to Google? Thank you, Mike

I'm new to DF and don't know hot to post.
I bought a 1997 Dakota slt, the door needed replaced and now the security is engaged. I've researched this and everything i've read says to reset the PCM. Is this true? If so, how? Can you tell me how to post my question or maybe answer it?

Hello, I just changed differencial fluid on my dodge Dakota slt 6cyl 2000, the fluid capacity said 4.9 qts, but when I filled it only came out to like 3.9qts, is this normal or did I do something wrong. I filled it till it came out of the plug hole and I could feel the oil with the tip of my little finger.
