Hi lxman1. I'm a new mew member and posted a thread "New Member -Hi All" and thought I was posting in the Diesel General Discussion forum but when I checked I had mistakenly posted to the Technical forum. I caught my mistake and would like to ask you to delete the message in the Technical forum. I did repost it in the General Discussion forum where it was supposed to go. Thank you and I apologize for the boo boo.

Hey, I noticed you post quite often in the forums and I was wondering if maybe you can help me out. I got a check engine light and the )red lighting bolt( light on my dash a few weeks ago. I took it to auto zone and they read the codes and I got a P0123-THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT HIGH. I was wondering what is necessary to fix this problem or how to go about it? Any help or direction is greatly appreciated! , oh Forgot to mention, it's a 2010 Caliber SXT. 53k miles.

Thanks so much for your reply! I have replaced the map and had a friend hold his finger over the hole before I replaced it and it tried hard to idle. I thought I had found the answer! The replacement map required cutting a small piece of the intake from the edge and even had instructions on how to do so???? Wierd I know. Auto Zone and O'Rileys ms were the same just different brands. I think I have narrowed the problem down to the TB sensor but, I'm really not sure just how much sway it has from idle to 3000rpm and why it runs so good wide open. Also the sensor and TB being all one part and kinda spendy as I'm about out of $ for working on this truck! I am desperatley seeking advice for I just plain don't know what to do!!
