Default Dynoed 300whp/332tq

stock turbo w/ upgraded compressor wheel...complete fuel system w/ return line...the fpr was messed up but is fixed now...redynoing again this weekend...hoping for 325whp/350tq

mods:
cca fmic
bdj 3" dump
s0 pcm s2 injectors
safc2
aeromotive fpr w/ return line
walboro 255 fuel pump
agp wga
k&n sri
plus some other odds and ends

a/f's were tuned between 11.2-11.5 max

this proves that the upgraded wheel works as i hit peak hp right at redline and my peak tq was at like 3200 rpms, but stayed above 300 all the way to like 5000rpms then only fell to 285 at redline

Very Nice. I never hit 300whp on the stock turbo... I didn't realize at the time but the MSD programmable was pulling timing on me because of a default base map. Didn't discover that until I got the big turbo in.

You need to add water injection... bet you could hit close to 350 with that.

just as reliable as ever

as far as the water injection...i have seriously considered that route b4 ,especially with the high boost levels...but the next step for me is CM s4 clutch and 50 trim from agp

so maybe after that w/i

Ok, once again for us slow people. ( I know I'm not the only one)
I'm having trouble with the alphabet soup.
I can figure most of it out most of the time but I have a few questions.
1) whats cca fmic ?
2) safc (2?)
3) bdj ?
I'll admit ignorance, but stupid people don't ask questions.
Also, to install an upgraded compressor wheel, does the housing need to be machined to match? Can you do it yourself?
If its reliable as you say, great going!

Glad you said it because I was thinking it. Only one of those I know is fmic, which is front mount intercooler.

upgraded cca front mount intercooler

s-afc2 is somethjing that controls the bigger injcetors...

bdj is just a company that makes srt-4 turbo back exhausts

Hope that helps a bit!

in theory you COULD do the turbo thing but it would be a good idea to let some1 that is experienced with turbos do it for you

Yeah thanks. I'm just a displaced aircraft mech making a living (for the moment) as a diesel truck mechanic. I'm good with all sorts of shortcut jargon. I am however, new to the world of high perf automotive turbos and supporting mods as this is my first one. So I'm trying to play catch up. I've always been more of a big block 440 4 barrel guy. Ya smell what I'm steppin in? I aint skeered of no turbo though, we use 'em on airplanes and trucks both, all the time. There aint nothin to 'em really. The question I have about the turbo is; is there machining that has to be done to the housing when you change the turbine wheel? That part I could not do. Well, maybe not, I do have access to a simple machine shop.
