RE: $20 Oil Catch Can for an SRT-4
If you're talking about the fuel rail cover, it comes in red. I'm using blue (mopar) as my accent color, so I have to figure out a way to paint mine w/o looking ghetto. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.
Also, when you painted your valve cover, how did you isolate the lettering? Did you just use masking tape? I'm just looking for the best technique- it looks like whatever you did worked pretty well.

Wow, I wish I could keep mine looking that super clean under the hood, but I work in hell.[sm=smiley19.gif]With all the truck traffic and the dumps and concrete places around, as well as all the dump trucks, there are clouds of dirt blowing around all day long.[sm=smiley19.gif]I think I may go with a black and red theme with mine.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I simply painted everything, letters and all, and while the paint was still sticky, but dry enough to touch, I got a razor blade and scraped it off of the letters. After that I let it dry completely in the sun for about an hour and with very small grit sand paper, sanded all the remaining red off of the letters. That also removed some of the scratch marks that are on the letters from the factory.

Thanks for saying how clean it is... Right now, it is a little bit dirtier than I usually keep it, but whenever I wax/wash the car (at least once a week) I always do under the hood also. I figure that I never would have bought a neon in my life time, but I would buy what is under the hoo so I need to keep it just as clean. It has several coats of wax on every painted surface under the hood.

My hat's off too you!! I've been accused of being a "clean freak" with my vehicles, but I never have waxed under the hood. Most of my previous cars and trucks had underhood insulation, though...But still, way to take care of your SRT-4!!!![sm=smiley20.gif]
