I get that from Dad. He will not put a vehicle i the garage if it has a bug on it. We got back from the houston mopar race at Baytown that I mentioned before, it was 1:30 on Monday morning, and both of us had to go to work in the morning, but we stayed up and cleaned the viper and his truck before going to bed. Most of my family is like that, but none are as bad as Dad and me.

Heck, if I had a Viper, I'd be up at zero-dark-thirty cleaning it as well!!! Have you seen a lot of SRT-4s in your area? I still haven't seen another SRT-4 around here except a few on dealers lots, although a buddy of mine says he's seen 2 others on the street.[sm=smiley16.gif]

Interesting story about the srt's around here...

Counting mine, 6 have been sold in this little town of 24,000 people. One, my cousin bought and she lives in wac, 60 miles away, one I have never seen, so I don't know where it went, but probably did not stay in the area, one other red one lives about one mile away from me but it is always filthy and he is not very friendly... The other two were totaled within one week of owning them. some punk kids bought them and wrecked them in their first week.

Owwwww, that could explain the lack of SRT-4's on the roads around here...the cable news had a big feature today about a major 18-wheeler wreck about 5 miles from here that killed several people and blew more off of a bridge.... If you don't dive smart around here you don't drive for long...[:'(]

I not only wax the under side of my hoods, but I also wax the under side of the trunk lid too. And the door jambs, hinges, etc. If it has paint on it, it also gets wax.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley16.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]

I do take my cars to alot of car shows through out the year. Anywhere from 1-3 car shows per weekend, usually 1 per weekend and sometimes none, it depends on me, the weather and where the shows are. I only have 6 trophies and 6 plaques, but that will change when I can get the body and paint done on my Roadrunner(it's the one that goes to 99% of the shows I go to and the one that won all the awards).

A rotary tool with a wire wheel is also great for removing the paint on the raised letters and numbers, but only after it has cured. Otherwise it might come out rather messy.

a rotary tool would be too easy to mess up...

I waxed the door jambs when I furst got it but I haven't done it lately. Also a hent to some of you. Try waxing your wheels, it take a while to do it, but it makes them clean up a whole lot easier. Same way under the hood, once you wax it, dirt doesn't stick to the engine and it simply washes off without chemicals.

hey 71, this is dads old car. He sold this to buy the viper. He bough this car in 73 from an old man. He raced it and it ran high 11-low 12s. His best accomplishhment wascar shows. our attic is full of trophies from that car. an honest guess would be 100+ trophies and then some plaques.

it is the 68 bird, black with red stripes.
