Default SRT n00b checking in

Hey all,

Name is Matt, from Northern Connecticut.

I don't even have my new SRT4 yet but I'm so excited I'm posting anyway.

I am just awaiting for the final bank approvals to get my car. Just got back from driving it, signed the paper work and waiting on the phone call either today or Monday.

Its a white 05 SRT-4, with black rims. 35,000 miles, mint condition. Only mod it has from previous owner is a mopar intake.

This is my 1st dodge and 1st turbo 4 I've ever bought. 1 15 minute test drive and man was I hooked!

I've owned a 66 Chevelle, 83 & 97 Camaros, and a 88 Mustang LX 5.0L.

What a blast it was driving that SRT. Its a totally different car, but it reminds me still so much of my 88 LX. Pulls just as hard. (that car ran high 13's, low 14's with a couple bolt ons).

I'm hooked and I havnt even taken the car home yet! LOVE that BOV sound.

What I have planned is my g/f not killing me. In other words any extra money I have that doesnt go into saving for us buying a house next year and I'm in trouble.

So I won't be doing anything at all to it for awhile. Just ordered some new NGK plugs and Granatelli wires, that will be it for quite awhile.

I was thinking maybe I'll have her get me a short throw shifter for xmas.

oh and I'm ganna add a catch can too at some point soon.

yeah thats life I guess....then again I kind of agree in the sense that wrenching on the car in my own garage instead of my dad or moms sounds a lot better. Can't to do much in the apartment complex parking lot.

I actually found a guy on the srtforums who knows the previous owner of my car and has driven it. Small world on the internet. He confirmed that the previous owner was an adult who did not beat on the car and took good care of it. Always nice to find that out after you just spent a bunch of money on it.
