New Ram Van owner from MT

Hello Dodge owners & fans.
I'm new to the forum but I have read many of the posts & found some great information. I purchased a well loved 1990 Ram van B250 in June '09. The seller was not the most honest man. He said the speedometer didn't work, when I asked if the odometer worked he said "oh yeah". We drove 120 miles to get the van only to discover on the way home the odometer didn't work. We have no idea how many miles are really on the van & have spent a small fortune fixing worn out parts at our mechanics delight. As many of you know it became a domino affect. I really liked the van and just couldn't turn my back on it, secretly the van wanted to be on the road again. After the mechanic got a look, we knew Horton had been driven to death. The interior & exterior were great, everything underneath was shot. It reads like a little horror story, we had to laugh otherwise we would cry. The driveline was bent, the tranny bolts were mostly missing along with a brace, the motor mounts were broken, the whole front end had to be replaced, the steering gear box, the brakes, the shocks, drag link, speedo gear, inst cluster so we could have a working odometer & water pump. I know..........you are probably thinking I'm crazy, but I couldn't turn around & sell it to someone knowing all that was wrong. I just never dreamed there could be so much!! It's been an adventure to say the least..........but now we have a really nice running conversion van thanks to Integrity Automotive in Missoula rebuilding Horton from the ground up.

Glad to hear Horton is doing better! Several years ago I got ripped off by a guy in Great Falls, MT who sold me a Plymouth Road Runner with a screwed up front end........it happens to almost everyone at some point.....

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Our dogs think Horton is the coolest thing ever. They will jump in the van inside the garage when the van is open & take a nap on the couch.
