Default FNG here, looking for answers

Hi all. Been lurking your site a bit looking for answers. I can't seem to find what I'm looking for so I thought I'd just jump in and ask. First off, I live up near the great white north and just got my hands on a 2000 Ram Wagon 1500, 2wd. I am planning on giving a fistful of my hard earned money to a custom shop up here to convert this van to 4x4, and I'm damn excited so don't try telling me how it would be cheaper just to find a 4x4, besides, 4x4 vans are tough to come by. I'm not car smart, but I think I know what I want. I would like to lift the van just a bit more than is required by the conversion and put on a beefy suspension system to accomodate the extra weight that my interior conversions will add. I would like to get a better idea of what my options are before I talk to the custom shop. Does anyone have any advice on a decent suspension system for this vehicle? Or can someone give me some insight into what my options are? I'm going with a SFA and it has 109.3 in. wheelbase. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. And yes, I'll get some pics up, before and after.

Thanks guys. I can see there is a wealth of information here and I plan to use it. The Ram Van section is great, but is lacking the information I'm after. I'm sure someone will chime in eventually with the info that I'm after... Thanks again.
