Hello Folks,
My father recently Purchased a Seventy Thousand Mile Dodge Dokota 5.9 R/T. This is our first Mopar and looks like it will be quite a fun project. The Dodge is replacing our 260,000 Mile Mint condition 97 GMC Z-71 ExCab, We really wish we could keep both but our finances dont agree. In any case My dad has talked about getting one of these truck for years on end, And after going through about 5-6 Taurus SHO's (The yamaha Powered Taurus) This is probably his first RWD Performance based vehicle in a long while.
I Joined this forum in hopes of getting to know this truck better and also hope to find some good aftermarket parts for this thing. As his Right hand man (Who probably drives HIS truck more then he does Im looking forward to it.
My main vehicle however is the V8 Powered Ford Taurus SHO, Its slow (well, a tad quicker then the R/T) and looks like a Fish, But sounds and handles great, Not to mention this paticular SHO (The one and only Vector Performance Taurus SHO made) Was featured in the December 1996 Issue of Motor trend magazine (Unfortunently a Rich history does not make my car faster but is fun to brag about none the less). I look forward to learning about this truck and Conversing with my fellow Mopar Enthusiast's. Now on with the Pictures!
Not Very good pics of the dodge but havent had a chance to get some good ones, Heres a few of the SHO's.

Yea, There not the fastest of cars, The V6 One is Certainly faster then the V8 (Ecspecially the five speed). The major deals with the SHO's when they were introduced in 1989 was that they were the first FWD car with over 200 horsepower (220, and not that a 220 horsepower FWD car is a good thing) and it was the fasest sedan you could get with out spending 50k (it was only 21k brand new). There fun cars.

OMG.... ditch that cap! Agggh! Get a tonneau. The Dakota R/T ain't just a truck... it's an automotive cult! Shoot me an e-mail... or have your dad do it (I'm prob'ly older than he is anyway). I'll turn y'all on to the world of R/T... 'n stuff you ain't gonna believe.
