Default Hello Everybody, new Dodge SRT10 owner

Hey folks, I have always wanted this truck ( SRT10 ), almost bought one back in '05, until I was told ..no towing. My family and I r into dirt bikes and camping...so I bought a Ford F350 Diesel ( 6.0 ) 4x4. Nice truck, but it was not what I reaLLy wanted...Well things change.. Really excited that I can say I am a Dodge owner, but even more so to be a SRT-10 owner !!
I found a almost Perfect example of a 2006 SRT-10 QC in Mineral Gray Metallic, almost every option and 6k miles..all stock. paid $31k. FL truck originally, purchased in Caili. Man I waS HAPPY....BUT then..Well sometimes we screw UP and I did BIG TIME !!! My neighbor has a built '97 Viper GTS...Loaned me his SCT tuner, flashed my SRT..ran fantastic..wheel spin into 3rd gear Then blew driver side head gasket after 200 miles. I rushed myself, maybe to much timing advance, plugs lean.. Parts ordered, I'll BE BACK...smarter.. HAPPY to have this truck, plus now I can do some top end mods and understand the motor better, Be positive right people. Glad to be a new member of this forum and to be a DODGE SRT-10 owner !! r12xbill

Congratulations and welcome to our site! I'm surprised your 6.0 powerstroke hasn't blown up yet, all the things I've read on those. Anyway, don't forget to check the sub-forum for your ride here: Dodge Ram SRT-10

Wow, I pulled the cylinder heads, No blown gaskets. unfortunately the piston rings just on the driver side cylinders are scuffed...from what I do not know. passenger side cylinders OK ( 180 psi ) ?? At least there is hope for my mechanical skills..Anyone ever hear of damage to just the driver side cylinders? Was it lack of oil pressure..dirt...mystery at this point.
Hang 10. r12xbill
