Need to isolate where the noise is coming from. Big difference in sound between a main, rod, and lifter knock.
As the engine warms, the tolerances open up. Knocking once warm is a warning that things are going to go south, possibly in a big way. Might be time to start looking at a replacement motor. How many miles on it? |
